Our People

Steve Wilder
Steve is the Founder of Wilder Sheep Co. and has been involved in the sheep business since 1968. Steve graduated with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Agriculture Education from the University of Idaho. For the last 37 years, he has taught agricultural and mechanics courses in the West Ada School District. In 2017, Steve was one of five individuals to receive an Idaho Governor’s Award for Excellence in Agriculture.

Laura Wilder
Laura joined Wilder Sheep Co. when she married Steve in 1989. Laura graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Journalism. While at Texas A&M, she was a member of the 1980 National Champion Intercollegiate Meat Judging Team. She was a 20-year 4-H leader and currently serves as a Meridian Cemetery District Commissioner. She started her new role as Administrator of the Idaho Barley Commission in 2018 and was previously Executive Director of both the Idaho FFA Foundation and the Idaho Beef Council.

Brett Wilder
Brett has been involved since the start of his 4-H project in 2002. Brett graduated with his Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Idaho in 2017 and his Master's degree in Applied Economics at the University of Idaho in 2019. Currently, Brett works as a Financial Analyst for Rabo AgriFinance in Billings, MT.

Liz Wilder
Liz joined Wilder Sheep Co. when she married Brett in 2018. Liz graduated from the University of Idaho in 2018 with her Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science, Communications and Leadership. Currently, Liz works on various communications and marketing projects for agricultural firms as the President of Wilder Communications. She has been an integral part of improving our media and online presence.
